Massage Therapy is an integral service that is offered at Peak Sports And Spine Centre. We offer Massage Therapy at all of our Brisbane clinics, through a variety of different Massage services.

Overview

Types of Massage

At PEAK we offer a wide range of different styles of massages including Sports Massage, Remedial Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Pregnancy Massage located within minutes of Brisbane CBD. Below explains the difference between them.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a style of massage focusing on loosening muscle fibres caused by sport-related tension, and is helpful for aiding performance. The treatment of a Sports Massage can vary depending on the injury or needs of the individual and can include soft tissue, deep tissue and the whole body. Sports Massage is available at both of PEAK’s clinics that are within minutes of Brisbane CBD.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is a type of massage that treats damaged, knotted, tense or stiff muscles by stimulating blood supply and helping make joints more mobile. This is done by using a range of therapeutic massage techniques targeting specific parts of the body. Remedial Massage can vary in pressure and focus on the finer structure of the joint, ligaments and muscles. Remedial Massage is available at both of PEAK’s clinics that are within minutes of Brisbane CBD.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage incorporates a variety of different massage techniques focused on treating musculoskeletal issues in order to relieve pain, relax the muscles and prevent injury. The techniques involved in Deep Tissue Massage are used to encourage blood flow by applying long strokes with firm pressure. Deep Tissue Massage is perfect for people that are suffering from muscle pain, soreness or fatigue. Deep Tissue Massage is available at both of PEAK’s clinics that are within minutes of Brisbane CBD.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy or Prenatal Massage is used to reduce swelling, stress, and to relieve muscle pain for pregnant women. This type of massage will include techniques such as effleurage and longitudinal strokes and less trigger points. As the pregnancy progresses we have pillows and bedding toppers available to help make your treatment comfortable.
