What are Chiropractor Home Visits?
Chiropractic Home Visits are one of the many in home services PEAK provides to its patients. It allows one of our PEAK Chiropractors to assess, diagnose and treat you, all from the comfort and safety of your own home. Chiropractors use various passive (manual therapy) and active (exercise therapy) methods to treat your condition and this service allows you to benefit from these Chiropractic techniques at home.
How Does At-Home Chiropractic Care Work?
When inquiring about a Chiropractic Home Visit we will ask you where you are located and send you a new patient form to provide specific information on your condition.
An initial Chiropractic Home Visit appointment is 45 minutes, whilst any follow up standard appointments will be 30 minutes. We allow for 15 minutes of travel time for our Chiropractic Coaches to travel to and from our PEAK clinic.
When your PEAK Chiropractor arrives for your appointment they will do a quick Home Visit Risk Assessment prior to beginning the appointment. The appointment will run identically to if you were at one of our clinics. The PEAK Chiropractor will take a brief history of your condition, then perform a detailed physical assessment to then provide the appropriate customised treatment plan for you.

Chiropractic home visits are a convenient treatment option for a range of conditions. These conditions include:
Neck Pain
Chiropractic therapy is an effective method of treatment for neck pain. If experiencing neck pain, your PEAK Chiropractor will use a variety of manual therapy techniques to treat your condition, including soft tissue massage, dry needling, ART (Active Release Technique) and spinal manipulation. Our Chiropractors will also utilize the opportunity of treating you in your own home by prescribing you a Home Exercise Program, designed with exercises that may assist with your neck pain.
Back Pain
Low back pain (PEAK link) is one of the most common complaints of our patients. Often low back pain will come hand in hand with low back tenderness and stiffness. Chiropractic treatment is an effective method of treating low back pain.

No GP referral is currently needed for Chiropractic Home Visits under guidelines from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Your PEAK Chiropractor will need enough space for a massage table for the treatment as well as space to be able to move around freely. A space such as a living room may be suitable.
No nothing is required for the appointment Your Chiropractor will supply all needed treatment supplies.
Some Private Health Insurance companies cover Chiropractic Home Visits. For the most accurate advice on your level of cover, it is recommended that you contact your provider directly.
