How can the FMS help me?

Following the movement screen, custom corrective exercises are then prescribed based on the screening results. For example if the screen identifies that a person’s squat depth is limited by thoracic mobility, the physiotherapist can prescribe thoracic mobility exercises to improve this.

How often should the FMS be performed?

The time frame can vary. A general recommendation is every 2-3 months. This is to ensure there is optimal time for corrective exercise adaptations to occur. The FMS testing takes around 15 minutes to complete.

Used by athletes all around the world, the FMS is a great way to track progress over time and improve the quality of your movement.
